"Fossil Falls East" (20" x 16" Oil) was created for an Abstract Themed Exhibit, "The Language of Color". My last post was a plein air sketch of Fossil Falls. Photos from my hike luckily included other hikers for scale. Given the chaotic sculptural feature, a TRIPTYCH seemed the way to go. Painting a Representational Abstract seemed like a good way to push color and push design over chaos. Creatively it was a stretch for me, and FUN! July 2019
